Scout AI – Configure prompts

With Scout, you can use AI in your Core-Portal.
You can create your own prompts for content or product texts.


Activate Scout

Before you configure prompts, Scout must be active.

  • Log in to the Core-Portal backend

  • Go to Scout

  • Click Activate

  • Make sure Scout is set to active


Configure prompts

Follow these steps to add a new prompt:

  • Go to Scout

  • Click Configure prompts

  • Click Add

You will now see a screen like below:

Create a new prompt

Fill in the fields:

  • Name

    • Choose a clear name

    • Example: Improve product description

  • AI model

    • Choose a model such as:

      • ChatGPT

      • Claude

  • Prompt

    • Enter your instruction for the AI

    • Use the placeholder <user input>

    • This will be replaced with the user’s input

Example prompt:

Write a commercial product description based on: <user input>


Activate and save the prompt

  • Set the prompt to active

  • Click Save

The prompt is now available and ready to use.


Use the prompt

After saving, you can use the prompt:

  • Go to a page with a text field

  • Click the Scout button

  • Select your prompt

  • The AI will use your prompt with the input


Practical tips

  • Use short and clear prompts

  • Test multiple variations

  • Always use <user input>

  • Give clear instructions such as:

    • “Write short and commercial”

    • “Use bullet points”

    • “Write in B1 level”


Common mistakes

  • Placeholder missing
    → The AI receives no input

  • Prompt not set to active
    → The prompt is not visible

  • Instructions too vague
    → Output is less useful
