How to perform an inventory count
There are a number of ways to conduct an inventory count.
Desktop
To perform a count in the desktop version, go to Applets > Stock Manager. Select one or more stock fragments or license plates and click on Create Count.
Select the correct Activity Type and fill in a description if desired.
For every count line, at least fill in an Item Code and an Deviation or New Quantity.
Deviation Quantity is more convenient when you know how many units should be added to the current stock, but do not know the total quantity. On the other hand, when you do know the total quantity it is easier to fill in a New Quantity. The deviation quantity will be calculated automatically based on the new quantity and vice versa.
Save the count.
Locate the count in Applets > Activity Manager. Checking Counts in the menu bar may help with this.
Select the count and click on Actions > Fulfill.
Scanner
Go to Direct Count in the mobile version. Enter a license plate code in the Locality field, or alternatively look up a license plate via the magnifying glass.
Next you can either select an existing fragment or create a new stock fragment by clicking Create and filling in an item code and quantity.
Scanner assignments (optional)
In some cases (e.g. cycle counting) you can the check the stock level for a collection of locations. Here, too, a count will be created in the Activity Manager, but rather than being fulfilled the count will be assigned to the scanner through a scanner assignment.
After choosing the appropriate vehicle in My Assignments, operators can find the assignment and establish the new quantities and/or deviations.
