How are issues allocated?
The allocation of issues – and replenishments in some cases – is based on a number of allocation rules:
Name | Description |
Pick Location |
Fragments on pick locations will be used first |
Bulk Location |

FIFO (First In First Out) |
Oldest fragments will be used first |
FEFO (First Expired First Out) |
Fragments with the shortest expiration date will be used first |
LIFO (Last In First Out) |
Newest fragments will be used first |
LEFO (Last Expired First Out) |
Fragments with the longest expiration date will be used first |
Full Fragments (No Reservations) |
Fragments that are full according to the item aspects and have no reservations will be used first |
Original Quantity (No Reservervations) |
Fragments that have not been touched (still have their original quantity) and have no reservations will be used first |
Exact Match (No Reservations) |
Fragments that match the desired quantity exactly and have no reservations will be used first |
Exact Match |
Fragments that match the desired quantity exactly will be used first |
Low Quantities |
Fragments with the lowest quantities will be used first |
These rules can be ranked according to preference. This ranking will determine the allocation process.
If desired, different allocation rules can be set for different processes.
