Multiple stock fragments of the same item on the same license plate

Most likely, there is a difference in lot information between the fragments, causing them to be grouped separately.

Different lots

First, check whether the fragments are registered contain different lots and/or sublots. It is possible that through some action such as Repack a fragment with different lot details was (perhaps accidentally) placed on the license plate.

Lot tracking

Another possibility is that the item master data setting Is lot tracked has been modified. If one fragment has lot information and the other does not, the fragments will also be grouped and displayed separately.

Most likely the following has happened: some stock was created while the setting Is lot-tracked (under Master Data > Items > Edit Item > Item Aspects) was turned on. The setting was then turned off and more stock was created, this time without lot information. It is also possible that the reverse took place.

To fix this, it is important first to establish whether or not the item requires lot tracking. You can then remove either the stock with or without lot information and add it to the other stock.

For example, follow these steps to remove the lot-tracked stock:

  • Open the item and turn the setting Is lot-tracked on if turned off.
  • Create a count to adjust the lot-tracked stock to zero.
  • Turn Is lot-tracked off again.
  • Create another count to add the stock you just removed to the remaining stock.

N.B. If the stock quantity does not need to be changed, you may also perform internal counts, since there is no need for a correction in the ERP system.
