Why can I not perform a Direct Count in the scanner?

When you go to Direct Count in the scanner, you may encounter the following error: There are no count activity types available for this vehicle.

This error is caused by the fact that the present vehicle has no activity types in the Count category linked to it. The solution is usually to select a different vehicle via Vehicle / Zone on the bottom left. Adding count activity types to the vehicle is another option.

 

Vehicles

You can check which vehicle is linked to the right activity types by following these steps in the desktop version:

  • Go to Master Data > Vehicles.
  • Open a vehicle and click the tab Activity Types to see if there are any activity types linked to it that belong to the Count category.
  • If so, then you should be able to use this vehicle for direct counts.

You can look up which activity types fall within the Count category in Master Data > Activity Types by filtering for Count in the Category column.
