Error when fulfilling or finalizing activity

When fulfilling or finalizing an activity, it sometimes happens that the following error is given:

The current transaction on item '{ItemCode}' would result in negative stock (-{Quantity} {UOM}), which is not allowed by the applied policy.
Validating policy setting AllowNegativeStock ('Defined in policy '{Policy}', layer '{Layer}'.') on locality '{Locality}' failed.

This means that the setting Allow Negative Stock is turned off in the policy mentioned in the error message (usually the Internal Master Policy) but this is likely not without reason.

The real problem may lie in the fact that the activity is no longer up to date, for example because the stock has been relocated or no longer exists. In this case the activity may need to be adjusted. You could open the activity to see whether the From Locality and/or From Static Locality are still correct.

Another possibility is that the license plate and the stock fragment are registered on different localities. In this case it is best to contact our support department, who will gladly assist you.
