How to modify code formats in Warpspeed

In Maintenance > Number Generator you can use one more macros (see the Macro buttons) to compile code formats for license plates, activities, lots, and more. 

If you would like a code range to start at a particular number, you can ask our support department to arrange this for you.

Resetting sequence number

For each entity, you can use Reset Sequence Number to configure if the sequence number should be reset, and with what frequency.

An activity code normally consists of an entity prefix, a date, and a sequence number (e.g. IS2024071210001). By resetting the sequence daily, the sequence will start at the same number each day (10001 by default).

By contrast, LP codes are not usually reset since these are supposed to be unique and do not normally have dates as part of their code to set them apart.

Allowing duplicates

The setting Allow Duplicates has its uses and can be activitated for each entity.

For example, it may be advisable to allow duplicate lot numbers since different suppliers could, theoretically speaking, deliver the same lot number.
